FULL BROWN DIVISION RESULTS

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – After two weeks of respite, the Niagara men's cross country team got back on the course for the 45th annual Paul Short Run at Lehigh University. As a team, the Purple Eagles finished the day 44th overall in the Brown Division.

Meet Marks

• Joe Tricarico was the first Purple Eagle across for the second straight event, finishing the 8k in 28:09.
• Spencer Swoboda came through next with a mark of 30:35.
• Dual-athletes Daniel Leskowicz and Justin Sagasta finished third and fourth with times of 32:25 and 32:51, respectively.
• Ben Slate rounded out the team score by finishing in 33:59.
• As a unit, the Purple Eagles ran the course with an overall time of 2:37:59.

Coach's Corner

• Head coach Christine Kloiber: "The heat index was pretty rough for a cross country race and the course was still mucky from the rain that hit the area a fewdays prior. That's a long way of saying, it was a tough day for everyone in the race. We fared better than most and our athletes battled pretty hard, but they were wrung out by the end."

• Niagara will have next weekend off as they prepare for the Canisius College Invite. The race will be held on Saturday, Oct. 13 and get underway at 12:45 p.m.
