NIAGARA UNIV., N.Y. – The Niagara Purple Eagles volleyball team swept the Quinnipiac Bobcats in straight sets to earn their eighth straight victory, while remaining undefeated at home and in conference play.
Match Summary
Niagara was able to take care of business quickly against Quinnipiac. After starting the first set tied at five apiece, the Purple Eagles went on a 15-6 run, to give them a comfortable lead, 20-11. Niagara led by as many as 11 late before claiming the first set, 25-14.

Similar to the second set, the game was tied early through ten points, 5-5. The Purple Eagles continued their strong play with an 11-5 run, giving Niagara a 16-10 lead. Despite a strong comeback attempt by Quinnipiac to cut the lead down to two late, 22-20, the Purple Eagles were able to close out the set, winning by a final of 25-21.

The third and final set started off rough for the Purple Eagles, trailing the Bobcats by as many as five early, down 12-7. Niagara then went on a 12-7 run of their own however, which tied the set 19-19. Ending on a 6-3 run, including a crucial pair of kills from
Jada Carrol, the Purple Eagles were able to win the set and shut out Quinnipiac for their eighth straight victory and their fifth straight win against MAAC competition. Â

Eagle's Eye On…
- Jada Carrol led the team in kills and points, with 10 and 11.5, respectively.
- Rachel Hall recorded a team-leading 22 assists, her fifth match of the season with at least 20 assists.
- Rylee Hunt finished with 15 digs, giving her double-digit digs in 13 of her 14 matches this season.
- Madison May tied her season-high in kills with five.

- Niagara's eight match win streak stands as their longest since the 2011 season, when the team won 15 straight matches.
