NIAGARA UNIV., N.Y. – The duo of Matt Scott and Kahlil Dukes combined for 57 points as the Purple Eagles fell to Big 4 rival Buffalo, 106-87, on Wednesday night.

Game Summary
The first half saw the Buffalo Bulls get out to the lead fast and early, leading by as many as 20 in the opening half, 43-23. With 3:09 left in the first half, Niagara cut into the lead thanks to an 11-3 run. Kahlil Dukes was a driving force for the Purple Eagles with four points and a key assist to Keleaf Tate in that stretch. In the final seconds of the first half, Matt Scott, who led the Purple Eagles in scoring in the first half with 10 points, drove down the left lane for a buzzer-beating floater to close out the first half, trailing the Bulls by a score of 46-34.

Despite the run at the end of the half, Niagara was unable to close the gap any further in the second half. While Scott had 19 second-half points to finish with a team-leading 29, the Bulls proved to be too much on the evening, leading by 20 points or more for the majority of the second half. Kahlil Dukes went off for 21 points in the second half, including perfect from both the free-throw line (5-for-5) and 3-point line (2-for-2), but Niagara fell short to Buffalo by a final of 106-87.
