After a four matches in California to open the season, the Niagara University volleyball team returns to the East Coast to participate in the Jack Kaiser Classic in Queens, New York hosted by St. John's University. Â
Purple Points
- After losing all three matches at the LMU Invitational, which included playing two nationally-ranked teams, the Purple Eagles earned their first win of the season with four-set win over Cal State Fullerton.
- Two new faces have had an immediate impact on the team. Madison May currently leads the team with 2.36 kills per set and with 40 points, and freshman Caroline Leitch is second on the team with 2 kills pert and set and with 34 points.
- May's season-high 16 kills in the win over Cal State Fullerton are the second most in a four-set match among MAAC members.
- Alex Stone's seven blocks (1 sole, six assists) against Loyola Marymount are the most by a MAAC player this season.
- Alexis Gray's 35 assists versus Cal State Fullerton are the second most in a four-set match by a MAAC player.
- Niagara's 11 aces against Cal State Fullerton are the most by a MAAC team this season. Â
