Coach's Corner
  • "There's nothing for us to hang our heads about today," said Niagara head coach Jada Pierce. "This is the number six team in the country and they've scored 100 points on everyone else they've played, including in exhibition games. That was a goal of ours, not to let them score 100 points and we feel like we gave them everything we had."

Game Recap
  • Rampado scored the first points for the Purple Eagles in the first quarter, snapping a 6-0 Maryland run.
  • With around three minutes left, Dagny Davidsdottir scored two points off her own rebound to put the Purple Eagles down by only 10 points, 21-11.
  • Maggie McIntyre opened scoring in the second quarter, sinking a 3-pointer with a little under seven minutes remaining.
  • Tiffany Corselli hit a three with a little over three minutes remaining and Baughman made her first 3-point shot of the game with under two minutes remaining. However, the Terrapins led the Purple Eagles 58-32 going into the half.
  • Niagara came out strong in the third quarter, going on a 12-5 run.
  • Baughman sank another three with under a minute remaining in the third quarter, but the Purple Eagles trailed 79-49 going into the fourth.
  • With eight and a half minutes remaining in the game, Kaylee Stroemple scored two to put the score at 80-51.
  • Baughman sank two consecutive threes for the Purple Eagles to put the score at 87-57 with a little over five minutes remaining in the game.
