Purple Eagles Back On The Road To Face Fairfield

The Niagara Purple Eagles, winner of two straight games, head back on the road to face the Fairfield Stags on Friday, January 15 at 7 p.m.

Tipoff Tidbits
•  A Justin Satchell tip-in with 1.2 seconds remaining lifted the Niagara Purple Eagles to a 55-53 win over the two-time defending MAAC champions Manhattan Jaspers on Saturday as Niagara improved to 3-3 in MAAC play.
•  The Purple Eagles have won consecutive games (Saint Peter's, Manhattan) for the first time since reeling off four straight wins to end the 2014-15 regular season.
•  With wins over Saint Peter's and Manhattan, Niagara has won consecutive home conference games for the first time since January 2013.
•  Niagara's 3-3 conference record is its best start through six games under Chris Casey and the best since a 5-1 start in the 2012-13 season.
•  NU won its first game when trailing at halftime this season when it beat Manhattan (trailed 29-28 at halftime).
•  The Purple Eagles tied a season-high in assists with 17 while having a season-low 10 turnovers in the win over Saint Peter's.

•  The plus-19 rebounding margin is the largest since having a plus-24 advantage at Siena on Feb. 25, 2006; the 19 offensive rebounds are the most since having 21 at Iona on Jan. 4, 2014.Ā

Satchell Awakens
•  After going scoreless in four straight games and playing a total of 17 minutes, Justin Satchell erupted with a career-high 22 points in 24 minutes to lead all scorers against Saint Peter's on January 7.
•  Satchell's previous career-high was 20 points against the State College of Florida in January 2015 while he was a member of NJCAA's St. Petersburg College. His previous season-high was 17 points against Brown.
•  He shot 83.3 percent (10-for-12) from the field which is the highest by a MAAC player this season, passing teammate Dominic Robb who shot 81.8 percent at Albany.
•  His 10 field goals are the most since Emile Blackman's 10 at Rider on February 21, 2015.
