BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Niagara Purple Eagles weren't able to get rolling and dropped the 2015 season finale to the Canisius Golden Griffins at Demske Sports Complex on Friday.
The Purple Eagles had a couple hard hit balls and a walk in the first, but fell behind early as the Golden Griffins were able to score five runs, only three of which were earned, in the bottom of the frame. A sacrifice-fly in the second inning extended the deficit to 6-0.
From there, two runs in the second and five in the fifth gave the Griffs their 13-0 final lead.
Zachary Kolodziejski took the loss on the mound.
Tanner Kirwer finished the game 1-for-3 with a walk at the plate.
