After a four-game home stand, Niagara is on the road again as it heads to Syracuse for a doubleheader on Wednesday starting at 3 p.m.
Purple Eagles 101 (1-25, 1-7 MAAC)
- The Purple Eagles picked up their first win of the season topping Fairfield, 7-1, in game two of the doubleheader on March 27.Â
- NU dropped all four games in its home opening weekend versus Marist and Quinnipiac.

- Sydney Smyers was named MAAC Pitcher of the Week on Feb. 10 for her performance at the Cleveland State Dome Tournament from Feb. 6-7.
- Freshman Sarah Trifoso was named MAAC Rookie of the Week on Feb. 10 with a .300 batting average and .364 on base percentage in the first weekend of play at the CSU Dome Tournament.
On the Field: Syracuse Orange (15-22, 1-10 ACC)
- Syracuse is coming off a weekend series against Pitt where they were swept and outscored by a total of 20 runs during the series.
- In the 2014 season matchup the Orange shutout the Purple Eagles by a score of 5-0.
- Offensively Syracuse posts a .244 average with 150 runs scored, in the circle they have a 4.48 ERA and have allowed 183 runs on the season.
