Purple Eagles 101:

• Senior Katelyn Gruarin leads the team with a .375 batting average and has two home runs as the only Purple Eagle with a homer this season.
• Gruarin leads the Purple Eagles in all but one offensive categories, including 21 hits and eight runs scored.
• Gruarin and freshman Taylor Moody are tied for the team lead with five RBIs, with two players tied for second with four RBIs.
• Smyers leads the team with 65 innings pitched and ten games started.
• Junior Sydney Smyers was named MAAC Pitcher of the Week on Feb. 10 for her performance at the Cleveland State Dome Tournament from Feb. 6-7.
• Freshman Sarah Trifoso was named MAAC Rookie of the Week on Feb. 10 with a .300 batting average and .364 on base percentage in the first weekend of play at the CSU Dome Tournament.

About the Fairfield Stags:

• The Stags sport a 2-10 record overall this season.
• Senior Sammy Ruffolo leads the Stags with a .333 average. She also leads the team in RBIs (6), runs scored (8), and doubles with 2.
• The Stags have had Niagara's number the last four season taking seven of the eight matchups.

About the Iona Gaels:

• The Gaels are currently on a five-game losing streak.
• Senior Brianna Schauer leads the team with a .333 batting average and ten runs batted in.
• In the last four seasons, Iona is 3-5 against the Purple Eagles.
