The Niagara Purple Eagles head back to Cleveland, Ohio to play a doubleheader against Cleveland State University on Wednesday starting at 3:00pm.

Purple Eagles 101:

• This will be the second meeting between Niagara and Cleveland State.
• The Purple Eagles fell 8-0 to the Vikings in their season opener as part of the Cleveland State Dome Classic.
• Senior Katelyn Gruarin leads the team with a .392 batting average and has two home runs as the only Purple Eagle with a homer this season.
• Gruarin leads the Purple Eagles in all but one offensive categories, including eight runs scored, and a .588 slugging percentage
• Gruarin and Freshman Taylor Moody are tied for the team lead with five RBIs, with two players tied for second with four RBIs.
• Junior Sydney Smyers was named MAAC Pitcher of the Week on Feb. 10 for her performance at the Cleveland State Dome Tournament from Feb. 6-7.
• Freshman Sarah Trifoso was named MAAC Rookie of the Week on Feb. 10 with a .300 batting average and .364 on base percentage in the first weekend of play at the CSU Dome Tournament.
• Smyers leads the MAAC with 60.0 innings pitched and nine games started.
