The Niagara men's and women's swimming and diving teams head to Hamilton, New York to take on Colgate University on Saturday. Both teams competed against the University of Waterloo Warriors in a meet last Saturday, and the men's team came out with a win but the women's team did not.

Last Time Out

• The men's swimming and diving team lost at Waterloo 113-94.
• Robert Brown finished first in the 100 freestyle in 47.39 seconds.
• Eric Ebert won first place in the 50 backstroke with a time of 25.82.
• Daniel Ronen got Niagara the win in the 800 freestyle with a time of 7:56.61.
• Nicolas Winograd and Justin Sagasta took the top two spots in the 200m breaststroke.
• The women's team came out of Waterloo with a 138.5-68.5 win, gathering wins in nine out of 11 events, leading to the impressing win.
• Sydney Kligys finished first in the 100 IM in 1:02.10.
• Clare Curran, Annie Eckhardt, and Emily York took first place of the 400 freestyle with a time of 3:42.32.
• Brianna Smith took first place in the 200 backstroke 2:16.60.
• Julia Casolo won the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:17.85.

 Facing the Raiders

• In last year's meet against Colgate on Nov. 22, 2014, the men's team emerged with a 133-108 win, while the women's team fell 136.5-99.5.
• Shawn Warner won MAAC Male Swimmer of the Week after finishing first in the 500 free (4:41.99) and 1000 free (9:47.60) at Colgate.
• Shane Baxter won the 100 backstroke (51.56) and the 200 IM (1:59.17) while Edgar Melchor took first place in the 100 breaststroke (1:00.67) and the 100 butterfly (53.02).
• The women's swimmers claimed the first three spots in the 500 free, the 100 breaststroke, and the 200 free relay.
• Emily York finished first in the 500 free in 5:30.11, while also helping the Purple Eagles win the 200 free relay along with Annie Eckhardt, Meredith Ricks, and Sydney Kligys.
