TicketsThe Niagara Purple Eagles will wrap up their non-conference schedule by hosting the Penn Quakers on Tuesday, Jan. 13 at 7 p.m.
Niagara will take a short break from MAAC play in its matchup with the Quakers for the fourth all-time meeting between the programs. The Purple Eagles won the first three meetings, before falling 85-66 last season at the Palestra.
The Purple Eagles return to MAAC action this weekend against Iona (Friday) on ESPNU and Siena (Sunday) on Time Warner Cable SportsChannel at the Gallagher Center.
Tipoff Tidbits• Wesley Myers has scored in double figures in eight of the last nine games. Myers has set career-high scoring marks in the last two games (Siena - 21 and Manhattan - 22). Myers averaged 21.5 points per game while shooting 73 percent (16-for-22) from the field and 62.5 percent (6-for-10) from the behind the arc against Siena and Manhattan.
• NU shot 67 percent from the field in the first half against Manhattan on Jan. 10 for its highest percentage in a half since shooting 67 percent in the second half against Northwestern State on Feb. 2, 2013.
• Matt Scott was named MAAC Rookie Of The Week on Jan. 5 after averaging 10 points per game, 3.3 rebounds per game and 2.0 assists per game. Scott is the first freshman to win rookie of the week honors since TJ Cline won the award three times during the 2012-13 season.
• Dominique Reid had game and career-highs with 18 points and with 11 rebounds en route to his first career double-double against Monmouth on Jan. 4.
• The freshman trio of Matt Scott, Karonn Davis and Dominique Reid accounted for 49 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists in the 73-61 win over Manhattan. Scott scored a game-high and Purple Eagle season-high 23 points, Davis added 14 points and six rebounds, while Reid scored 12 points and had a team- and career-best five assists.
• Niagara had five players – Rayvon Harris, Ramone Snowden, Emile Blackman, Wesley Myers and Dominique Reid - in double figures against Arkansas State for the first time since Feb. 7, 2014 against Iona.
• Ramone Snowden dished out a career-high seven assists against Arkansas State. The seven assists are the most since Tahjere McCall had seven versus Manhattan on Feb. 9, 2014.
• The Purple Eagles had season-highs in points (73), first half points (42), field goal percentage (59.5%), 3-point field goal percentage (53.8%) and in assists (21) in the win over Manhattan.
• Niagara's 21 assists against Manhattan on Jan. 2 are the most since having 21 versus Saint Peter's on March 2, 2013.
• Niagara had a season-high +10 rebound margin in the win over Albany.
• According to KenPom.com, Niagara is the
FIFTH youngest team in the nation. NU has 13 underclassmen on the roster.

On The CourtPennsylvania Quakers (3-8/0-1 IVY)• The Quakers are coming off a three-game losing streak with losses coming at Vanderbilt, La Salle, and Princeton.
• Penn's last win came back on Tuesday, Dec. 9 against Marist.
• The Quakers' three wins on the year have come against Navy, Binghamton, and Marist.
Against the Quakers (Niagara, 3-1)• The Purple Eagles had won the first three meeting between the two programs before falling to the Quakers last season, 85-66, at The Palestra.
• The first meeting between the schools took place during the 1969-70 season, which Niagara won, 79-69, in the NCAA Tournament.

PHILADELPHIA – Antoine Mason led Niagara in scoring for the sixth straight game but the Purple Eagles fell to the Penn Quakers, 85-66, on Tuesday night from the legendary Palestra.
