Members of the Niagara men's basketball program took time from offseason workouts and preparing for finals by visiting the Women & Children's Hospital of Buffalo on April 24 and 29.

The team stopped by each room on the children's floor to speak with each patient, asking questions about their hobbies, while passing out signed copies of the team's poster. The ages of the patients ranged from a new born to 17 year old kids.

"It was a caring and warming experience," said freshman Wesley Myers.  "It was great to see them smile and give them support."

Niagara has been very active within the local community throughout the season. The team has visited the Niagara Falls Boys & Girls Club where it held a children's clinic, and volunteered at the Magdalene Project at St. George's Church in Niagara Falls, N.Y.

"Coach Casey has always been about helping and being involved in the community," said Emile Blackman who played for Casey at LIU Post. "We wanted to connect emotionally with the kids, spread a little a joy and put smiles on each kid's face."
