MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – The Niagara softball team blanked the Robert Morris Colonials, 2-0, on Friday in the RMU Classic.
"This was a quality win for the program," head coach
Larry Puzan said. "The team played very consistent and we got great upper class leadership today."

Jennifer Sansano fanned a season-high eight batters and allowed four hits in the complete game win to improve her record to 6-1 on the season.
Niagara (8-9) just needed a single run for its eighth win of the season and it came in the fourth inning.
Desarae Maldonado's sacrifice scored
Ambur Farmer for the go-ahead run. The Purple Eagles added another run in the seventh inning.
Ambur Farmer's sacrifice fly to right field scored Maldonado as Hinton recorded her fifth RBI in two games.
The second game of the doubleheader was cancelled due to inclement weather.
The Purple Eagles,who have won four of their last five games, will head to Ohio on Saturday to face the Akron Zips for a doubleheader
