NIAGARA UNIV., N.Y. – In a final tuneup for the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championship, the Niagara University swimming and diving teams will host St. Bonaventure on Jan. 25 at 1 p.m. inside the Oxy Aquatic Center.

Honoring the Graduating Class
The meet will start off with the honoring of the senior crew, including swimmers
Andrew Ames,
Emily York,
Ashley Harrington,
Emily Kisloski,
Morgan Molfino,
Chelsea O'Laughlin,
Nathanial Resila and
Alex Siuda.
Last Season vs. St. Bonaventure
Last season the Purple Eagles wrapped up the regular season against St. Bonaventure, dropping a 170-74 decision on the women's side, while the men fell to the Bonnies, 147-72.
Eric Ebert, Resila and
Shane Baxter all earned top times in their respective events, while Kisloski and
Emma Pullano each secured first place in the 500 freestyle and 100 breaststroke, respectively.
Last Time in the Pool
The men and women are coming off losses against Canisius on Jan. 18, with the men losing 176-121 and the women falling 195-93.
Baxter closed out the weekend with three victories, while
Shawn Warner and
Robert Brown combined for a trio of wins. The men also received a first-place finish from the 400 medley relay team.
The women had several second-place finishes from York,
Meredith Ricks and
Clare Curran. Ricks and York, along with
Grace Coyle and Harrington placed second in the 400 medley relay.
MAAC Championships
For the fourth consecutive year, the 2014 Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving Championships will take place at the Burt Flickinger Center at Erie Community College in Buffalo, N.Y. with Canisius College and Niagara co-hosting the three-day event from Feb. 13-15 Tickets can be purchased through the
