NIAGARA UNIV., N.Y. – The Niagara men's and women's swimming and diving teams return to the pool on Saturday, Nov. 9 to host the Cleveland State Vikings at 1 p.m. at the Oxy Aquatic Center.

Last Time vs. CSU
Niagara took to the pool against Cleveland State in a dual meet with Gannon on Oct. 27,2012. The men and women fell to Cleveland State, with the men dropping a 172-97 decision and the women falling, 195-48.
Then-sophomore
Shane Baxter pocketed two first place finishes, winning the 200 IM and the 200 backstroke.
Last Time Out
The Purple Eagles are coming off a meet against Waterloo University on Nov. 3. The men posted a 158-104 win, while the women fell to the Warriors, 162-98.
The teams won a combined 14 events during the meet. On the men's side, junior
Shane Baxter, and freshman
Robert Brown and
Shawn Warner led the way with three individual wins each, while combined in the 200 medley relay for a top time.
On the women's side, senior
Ashley Harrington, and freshmen
Sydney Kligys and
Meredith Ricks paced Niagara with an individual win apiece.
Conference Honors
For the second time this season, a Niagara swimmer was honored by the MAAC as the Male Swimmer of the Week as
Shane Baxter earned the accolade.
Freshman
Shawn Warner was awarded the season's first Athlete of the Week award on Oct. 16 after breaking a pair of NU records at the Western New York Invitational in the season-opening meet.
Next Up For NU
Following Saturday's meet, Niagara travels to Loudonville, N.Y., to face the Siena Saints on Saturday Nov. 16 at 1 p.m. This will be the first conference meet of the 2013-14 season.
