OXFORD, Ohio - The Niagara softball team (4-13) dropped both games during the second day of the 2012 Miami (Ohio) Redhawks Invitational on Saturday, dropping a 5-0 contesnt to Eastern Michigan and a 9-0 contest to Dayton.

Eastern Michigan 5, Niagara 0
The Eagles (8-15) scored three runs off of Purple Eagle starter Kim Bryson in the first inning by playing small ball, hitting three singles. Bryson and relief pitcher Bri Allen would allow two runs on seven hits the rest of the contest.

Niagara didn't get its bats going, with Eagles pitcher Jenna Ignowski no-hitting the Purple Eagles for the complete game win. Eastern Michigan was an error and a walk away from a perfect game. 

Dayton 9, Niagara 0 
The Purple Eagles surrendered seven runs in three innings to the Flyers (9-11), a hole in which they were unable to climb out of.  Allen pitched all five innings in the mercy-shortened loss. 

Freshman Ambur Farmer got Niagara's only hit, a double in the fourth inning.

Niagara wraps up play in the Redhawks Invitational on Sunday, taking on Ball State.
