NIAGARA UNIV., N.Y. - The Niagara women's swimming and diving team fell to Youngstown State by a score of 199-101 Friday evening at the Oxy Center.
“It was an exciting meet with many close races,” said head coach Ben Nigro.
Junior
Lindsey Jackson had a strong showing for the Purple Eagles, coming in first in the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:35.28 with sophomore
Ashley Harrington coming in second (2:18.49). Jackson also earned second place in both the 200 yard backstroke, clocking in at 2:35.78. Junior
Aubrey Kettrick earned top honors in the 200-yard freestyle, clocking in at 1:57.63. She also came in second in the 100-yard freestyle (54.80).

Julia Bulmahn clocked in at 1:02.05 to nab second in the 100-yard backstroke and earned a second place finish in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:13.61. The 200-yard medley relay team of Bulmahn, Crane,
Renee Parsons, and
Chelsea O'Laughlin finished in 1:56.93 for second.
In the diving events, senior
Ashley Jones carried Niagara, coming in second in both the 1-meter (242.77) and 3-meter event (233.77)
Women's swimming and diving are back in the pool on Nov. 4 when they host Duquesne at 5 p.m.
