ST.BONAVENTURE, N.Y. - The Niagara swimming & diving team dropped a dual meet to the host St. Bonaventure on Saturday afternoon. The men's team fell by a 206-87 margin, while the women's team fell by a 151.5-137.5 margin.
Niagara had another strong meet in the diving event, with the Purple Eagles claiming top honors in three of the four events. Ian O'Rourke won the men's three-meter event (348.37), Faith O'Malley won the women's three-meter event (212.40) and Ashley Jones won the women's one-meter event (230.85).
Aubrey Kettrick took top honors in the 500 yard freestyle event in a time of 5:25.68, while Renee Parsons took home first place in the 100 yard butterfly event in a time of 1:03.25 and Lindsey Jackson won the 200 yard IM in a finishing time of 2:16.26.
Jake Pisano finished in second place in the 200 yard butterfly (2:04.89), while Kevin Jennings took second place in the 100 yard freestyle (49.83).
The swimming & diving teams are back in action on Feb. 17, when they begin co-hosting duties of the 2011 MAAC Championships.
