BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - Niagara diver Ian O'Rourke swept the men's diving events, but the Purple Eagles fell to the host Binghamton Bearcats by a 125-107 margin in the men's meet and by a 140-94 margin in the women's event.
O'Rourke won the one-meter diving event with a score of 277.65, while taking the three-meter diving event with a score of 271.43. Teammate Chris Zukas took second place in the one-meter diving event (236.55) and third place in the three-meter diving event (210.90).
The women's diving team was represented well by Faith O'Malley, who finished in second place in the one-meter diving event (182.03) and third place in the three-meter diving event (119.25).
In the pool, Jon Matchette took top honors in the 50 yard freestyle event, with a time of 23.15, while Aubrey Kettrick took first place in the 100 yard freestyle event in a time of 56.32.
Niagara is back in action on Jan. 22, when they host cross-town rival Canisius, the team's final home meet of the season.
