LEXINGTON, Va. – The baseball team (1-3) had its rubber match against VMI (5-2) cancelled due to inclement weather, Sunday, in Lexington, Va. It was the second time this season a Purple Eagle baseball game was cancelled.
The Purple Eagles won the first game of the three-game series, 8-1, Friday before dropping Saturday’s contest 8-4.
Niagara resumes play with a double-header at Wofford, March 3, with game one slated for a 1 p.m. start.
