Niagara Univ., N.Y. – The Niagara University women’s swimming and diving team fell to the Youngtown State Penguins 163 – 135, tonight at Niagara University’s Oxy Aquatic Center.
Highlighting the Purple Eagle’s valiant effort was junior Allison Carr (Niagara Falls, N.Y.), who was a double winner in the 200 and 100 breaststroke events. Carr continues to build on her early season success and seems poised to continue winning ways.
Also coming up strong for Niagara was sophomore Dana Vernal (Milford, Conn.) easily winning the 200 fly event with a time of 2:18.68.
The Purple Eagles will return to action Nov. 30 when they will travel to Akron, Ohio to participate in the Akron Invite along with Niagara men’s squad.
