NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, N.Y. – Junior Pat Garvey (Pine Bush, N.Y.) won all three of his events despite the Niagara University men’s swimming and diving teams (0-2) losing 184-106 to the University at Buffalo (2-0) at the Oxy Aquatic Center Saturday.

Garvey recorded his victories in the 200 free (1:45.89), 100 fly (53:20) and the 200 IM (2:01.51).

"Everyone on the team recorded season bests in at least one event today," Niagara head coach Ben Nigro said.

Senior Dave Germain (Oswego, N.Y.) placed second on both the one meter (215.40) and the three meter (188.10) diving boards. Sophomore Zak Brown (Bakersfield, Calif.) also had two second-place finishes in the 1000 free (10:38.19) and the 100 free (49.89).

Niagara is back in action Nov. 11 at 1 p.m., taking on three Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference opponents, Manhattan, Canisius and Saint Peter’s.
