NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, N.Y. – Due to rain leading to unplayable field conditions, the Niagara University softball team’s (11-15, 3-1) 2004 home opener vs. Albany State Tuesday at Niagara Field has been postponed. Additionally, its game vs. Buffalo on Wednesday at 3 p.m. has been postponed.

The Purple Eagles return to action Thursday when they travel to Loretto, Pa. for a single game vs. St. Francis (Pa.) at Stokes Softball Field. First pitch is at 2 p.m.

In baseball, the Purple Eagles will play two seven innings games at UB Wednesday with first pitch at 2 p.m. Niagara will also add a game with the Bulls on May 11. First pitch at Amherst Audubon Field is at 6 p.m.
