NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, N.Y. – After hosting five consecutive home meets, the Niagara University men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams make their first road trip of the season when they travel to New Rochelle, N.Y., to take on Iona College at the Mulcahy Center Pool Saturday at 11 a.m.
The Purple Eagle men’s squad brings 3-0 overall and 3-0 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference marks into the league meet. Niagara has been Canisius twice and opened the season with a victory over Fairfield.
Iona is 0-1 on the season after dropping a 134-103 meet to Marist Tuesday.
The Niagara women’s team brings a six-meet winning streak into the weekend. The Purple Eagles Manhattan and Canisius last weekend and sport a 6-3 overall record and a 5-1 MAAC mark.
The Gaels are 1-1 on the season. They defeated Sacred Heart, 111-86, on Nov. 13, but then fell to Marist, 124-116, Tuesday.
