R-Sophomore (2013)
Appeared and started in all 29 matches and 103 sets…Set career-highs in kills (216), hitting percentage (.212), assists (89), digs (45), blocks (123) and points (309.5)…Led the team in hitting percentage…Was second on the team in kills and points…Her career-best .516 hitting percentage (16-0-31) against Temple was a season-high for a Purple Eagle…Had a career-high nine blocks (1-8) versus Manhattan (10/5) which was a season-best mark by a Purple Eagle…Her 123 total blocks were the most by a Purple Eagle since 1995 and ranks fifth in a single season…Her 36 solo blocks rank fifth and 87 block assists rank seventh in a single season.
R-Freshman (Coastal Carolina)
McGwin spent the 2012 season as a member of the Coastal Carolina program. She appeared in 21 matches and started in one match. She registered a career-high five blocks, including two solo against UMBC in her lone start. She had a career-high five kills against Howard. She finished the season with 16 kills, two assists, three digs and 20 total blocks. She made the Dean’s List with a 3.67 GPA and was named to the 2010-11 Big South Presidential Honor Roll.
Hilton High School
McGwin played her high school volleyball at Hilton High School in Rochester, N.Y for two seasons. She helped led the team to back-to-back Monroe County Section V Class AA Division II titles. As a senior, she set the school record for the most blocks in a career at Hilton. As a junior, she was named to the All-County Second Team and received the Presidential Award for academics. McGwin’s club team, VolleyFX, qualified for nationals twice.
