Biography

Why Niagara?: “Niagara gives me a lot of opportunities to succeed athletically and academically. My teammates were one of the deciding factors in my decision to attend Niagara because they had the positive attitudes that I wanted to surround myself with.”

 

On the Field: Earned MAAC All-Academic honors in 2009...Set a career-high four shutouts during the 2009 season...Named to the 2009 MAAC Championship All-Tournament Team...Played in 18 games, notching three shutouts in the 2008 season...Ended 2008 season with a 10-6-1 record and a .838 save percentage...Was between the pipes in every game for Niagara her freshman year, including 12 starts...Tallied two conference shutouts, against Loyola (Oct. 21) and Siena (Nov. 4).

 

Personal: Born in Liverpool, N.Y....Daughter of Brian and Terry Bowers...Has two younger sisters, Lindsey and Chelsea, and a younger brother, Ben...Majoring in education.
