Biography
Why Niagara?
“I fell in love with the campus as soon as I saw it. I thought that the size would be perfect for me and I could get the education that I needed to be successful. Also, the lacrosse program was a great fit for me and the girls were very welcoming.”
2017 Season
Earned her third straight nomination to the MAAC All-Academic Team in 2017...Played in 15 games as a senior and made her first nine career starts...Set career-highs with five ground balls, five caused turnovers, and three draw controls...Led the Purple Eagles with three caused turnovers vs. Monmouth (4/29) in the first round of the MAAC Championships.
2016 Season
Named to the 2016 MAAC All-Academic Team...Played in two games as a junior.
2015 Season
Named to the 2015 MAAC All-Academic Team...Made four appearances for the Purple Eagles as a sophomore...Collected one ground ball.
2014 Season
Played in eight games as a freshman in 2014….Took one shot, picked up one ground ball, won one draw control and caused one turnover for NU.
Before Niagara
Captained the Pittsford Mendon squad in Pittsford, N.Y...Named to the All-County team, and helped the Vikings to back-to-back sectional championships (2010 and 2011)...Three-sport athlete (lacrosse, soccer and basketball).
Personal
Born in Rochester, NY...Daughter of Larry and Patty Leon…Has three sisters, Madeline, Abigail, and MaryKate…Majoring in education.
