Played in 32 games and started in four games...Averaged 5.8 points and 2.0 rebounds…Shot 84.2 percent from the free-throw line and shot over 52 percent from 3-pointers…Had a game-high plus-16 rating in the season opener vs. St. Bonaventure (11/12)...Made first career points at the free-throw line against Grambling State (11/23)...Scored a then-career-high 9 points on a career-best 3-for-4 from behind the 3-point line in a then-career-high 22 mintues at Cleveland State (12/19)...Led the team in scoring with a then career-high 16 points and in steals with a career-high 2 in a career-high 29 minutes versus Albany (12/31)...Scored 10 points in MAAC opener at Manhattan (1/5)...Had a career-high three assists to lead the team at Fairfield (1/7)...Led the game with a career-high seven assists versus Iona (1/11)...Led NU in assists with six and co-lead NU in rebounds with a career-high eight against Quinnipiac (2/3)...Led NU in scoring with a career-high 18 points including shooting a career-best 78 percent from the field and making a then-career-high four 3-pointers on five attempts at Iona (2/10)...Led team in scoring with 15 points, had a game-high eight assists to set a career-high, and a team-high and career-high three steals at Rider (2/22)...Scored 18 points, including making a career-high five 3-pointers on six attempts, and added a team-high seven rebounds and dished out two assists at Canisius (2/27).

Before Niagara 
Hammond played high school basketball at Benjamin N. Cardozo High School in Bayside, N.Y. He helped lead the Cardozo High Judges to a 30-2 mark this past season, while averaging 15 points, seven assists and five rebounds in the regular season. In the playoffs, Hammond continued to be a dynamic force, averaging 17 points, six assists and four rebounds per game in the postseason. On Feb. 17, Hammond recorded 25 points, eight assists and five rebounds en route to leading his team to a 64-55 victory in the Public School Athletic League (PSAL) Queens Borough championship game. A month later on March 17, Hammond followed that performance with 21 points, including 5-for-7 from 3-point range, and five rebounds in the PSAL AA Championship, where Cardozo fell at the Barclays Center to Brooklyn-based South Shore, 78-66.
