Jake Presutti

Jake Presutti recently joined the Niagara University Men’s Basketball staff under Head Coach Greg Paulus, bringing more than 15 years of Division I and professional basketball experience to the Purple Eagles program. 

Prior to arriving at Niagara, Presutti spent two seasons as Associate Head Coach at the University at Buffalo, where he was instrumental in recruiting, player development, and daily program operations.

Before his time at Buffalo, Presutti served on Jeff Capel’s staff at the University of Pittsburgh as Director of Scouting from 2021–2023. In his final season with the Panthers, Pitt posted a 24–12 record, finished 14–6 in ACC play, and advanced to the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament, with wins over Mississippi State and Iowa State.

From 2014–2021, Presutti was part of Steve Wojciechowski’s staff at Marquette University, joining as Video Coordinator before being promoted to Director of Basketball Operations and Video Coordinator in 2017 and Assistant Coach in 2019. During his tenure, Marquette earned two NCAA Tournament appearances and developed multiple NBA and All-BIG EAST players.

Presutti also contributed to the USA Basketball Men’s National Team as a Special Assistant, focusing on film evaluation and statistical analysis for both the National and Select Team player pools.

Earlier in his career, he served as Director of Player Development at Eastern Michigan University (2011–2013) and spent a season in the NBA with the Houston Rockets (2010–2011) as a Basketball Operations Assistant, assisting in pre-draft film analysis and player evaluations.

former Syracuse University men’s basketball player under Hall of Fame Coach Jim Boeheim, Presutti began his career as a walk-on before earning a scholarship. Following his playing days, he served as a Graduate Manager for the Orange, assisting with scouting, film breakdown, and practice operations.

Presutti’s connection to USA Basketball began while at Syracuse, contributing to the World University Games and U19 Trials in 2007 and 2009. He also served as Video Coordinator for the Canadian Men’s National Team at the 2009 FIBA Americas Championship.

native of Belmont, N.Y., and a Genesee Valley Central School graduate, Presutti earned both his bachelor’s degree in Child and Family Studies and master’s degree in Instructional Design, Development & Evaluation from Syracuse University. He and his wife Brittany reside in Western New York with their three sons — Lincoln, Theodore, and Grant.
