Before Niagara
Ward joins the Purple Eagles from Albion High School in Albion, New York. Ward was a three-sport athlete, also competing in football and basketball. He played on his school’s varsity baseball team for five years and was a five-time First Team Niagara-Orleans All-League honoree. He was also a three-time First Team All-League selection for basketball. He served as a team captain for both the baseball and basketball teams. Ward played club ball for the Niagara Junior Thunderwolves. He was a high honor roll student.
