Played in eight games and started in three…Recorded two runs, two hits and two RBIs.

Before Niagara
Was a five-year member of Kenmore West's varsity baseball team and was a four-year starter...Also earned varsity letters in basketball and volleyball...Was named the defensive MVP of his high school team three times and was named Kenmore West's Male Athlete of the Year in 2017...After his senior season, in which his team were league champions, LaPlante earned first team all-league honors and was an All-WNY Honorable Mention selection...Was named to the all-league second team in both his sophomore and junior seasons...Served as a captain for all three sports he lettered in, was a four-year member of the honor roll and was an All-WNY Scholar Athlete.

Son of Brian and Mary Jo...Has one brother, Zachary...Is currently part of the academic exploration program.
