Before Niagara: Gowanda High School where he batted .559, five homeruns, 40 RBI’s, pitched 35 innings, 76 strikeouts, .092 opponent batting average. Ondus also earned first Team All-WNY, first Team All-Conference, and Roger K. Moore Pitcher of the Year. While playing with Gowanda the school won Section six Champions in 2021 and 2023. Holds school records in season batting average (.559), career homeruns (8), RBI’s in a season (40), hits in a season (28), and OPS in a season (1.718). Ondus also had the honors of being a captain of the team. Also played for the Academy Stars where he also served as a captain. Played in a total of five varsity season. Ondus was a two-sport athlete, also playing basketball where he was a 1000-point scorer.  The reason why Ondus chose Niagara was because, “Niagara felt like home right away, everyone here is extremely kind and supportive”.

Personal: Son of Jay and Paula Ondus…has six siblings Ashley, Skylar, Jordan, Brendan, Alex, and Elizabeth…father played football at University of Buffalo.
