Why Niagara? "The athletic department does a great job of making us feel at home as student-athletes. Niagara allowed me to futher my education while playing baseball."

On the Field: Appeared in 41 games during his career...Saw time in 23 contests in 2008, 21 as a pinch hitter...Led the team with three game-winning or game-tying pinch hits...Owned a .360 average (9-for-25) as a reserve last year...Collected four RBIs with his first three hits in 2008...Sat out the 2005 campaign after elbow surgery.

Personal: Born Aug. 21, 1985, in Mississauga, Ont….Son of Neil Gross and Marla Skelhorne…Has a younger brother, Jeff, and two younger sisters, Diana, and Olive...Received bachelor’s degree in biology in May of 2008 with a 3.05 grade-point average...Currently working towards his MBA.
