Why Niagara?
"I really like the small campus atmosphere and I really wanted to play baseball for Niagara."

2017 (Redshirt-Junior)
Appeared in 12 games and started in 11 and compiled a record of 6-2...Fanned 50 batters in 55 innings pitched and finished the season with a 2.29 ERA...His 2.29 ERA is tied for the best in Niagara pitching history and his six wins are fifth-most in a single season...Was named to the All-MAAC First Team. 

2016 (Redshirt-Sophomore)
Went 4-4 in his 11 games started and finished the season with a 3.64 ERA...He had 64.1 innings pitched, which was the second-most on the team...Was named MAAC Pitcher of the Week after a 3-0 shutout of Rider in which he held the Broncs hitless for six of his 7.0 innings pitched. 

2015 (Sophomore)
Finished the season with a 4.91 ERA, which was one of the team's lowest.

2014 (Freshman)
As a freshman, Eckerson appeared in 14 games, starting in eight and accumulating a 5-1 record for the Purple Eagles...He pitched 46.1 innings allowing 59 hits and 32 earned runs, giving him a 4.08 ERA on the season...Ekerson's best outing came against MAAC rival Iona, earning him a complete game victory where he fanned six and only walked one batter in 7.0 innings.

Before Niagara
Eckerson attended Palmyra-Macedon High School where he enjoyed a very successful baseball career...In his senior season he was named team MVP, Finger Lakes Region Player of the Year, Daily Messenger Player of the Year and Section V Baseball Player of the Year...He was also named to the All-State Second Team and to the All-Greater Rochester team...As a junior he was named to the All-League First Team.
