Why Niagara? "It was a new place full of new people. When I was recruited I loved everything about the team; the guys, the coaches, and a competitive league."

On the Field: Earned 2009 MAAC All-Academic honors...Experienced a craeer-year as a sophomore, leading the team with a .356 batting average...Collected 58 hits, a team-high 13 doubles, three triples and six home runs with a team-best 39 RBIs, all career-highs...Had a two home run game at home against Manhattan in 2009...Knocked in a career-high five runs at Canisius with a double and a three-run home run...Led the team with 20 multi-hit games, including four three-hit games...Connected on his first career homer in first game as a sophomore, knocking in three runs...Picked up a pair of singles against Manhattan as a freshman for first career hits.

Personal: Born in Springfield, Va....Son of Randal Deering and Debi Kisendaffer...Has a older brother, Matthew, and two younger brothers, Zack and Kyle...Majoring in marketing.
