Niagara University, N.Y. — Niagara University men's ice hockey defenseman Theo Lemieux has been named Atlantic Hockey America Defenseman of the Week, the league announced Monday.

Lemieux earned the honor after his three point weekend against Clarkson which saw him tallying an assist in the weekend opener on Friday. He followed that up with a two point game, finding the back of the net and earning his second assist of the weekend in the 6-2 victory on Saturday.

That was the first multi-point game of Lemieux's collegiate career. In the month of October he tallied six points in his first 10 collegiate games.

Niagara improved their record to 5-4-1 and return home to face Holy Cross Friday November 13 at 7:00 PM and Saturday November 14 at 6:00 PM. Tickets are available through Fanbase.
