Buffalo, NY - Niagara women's tennis fell 6-1 to Buffalo on Friday afternoon, managing just one point in a challenging road match.
The duo of Gabriela Melo and Isabel Garcia fell 0-6 at the No. 1 spot, while Larissa Kotok and Valeria Mora ruled a UF. Amelia Greenawalt and Saloni Tamang were defeated 1-6 at the No. 3 position.
Facing a 1-0 deficit heading into singles play, Niagara dropped five of the six matches. Garica was swept 2-6, 2-6 at No. 1 singles, while Melo lost 0-6, 3-6 at No. 2. Tamang couldn't find her rhythm in a 4-6, 1-6 defeat at No. 4, and Mora fell 2-6, 2-6 at the No. 5 position. Clarke-Louie closed out Niagara's defeats, falling 2-6, 4-6 at No. 6 singles.
The lone bright spot came from Kotok at No. 3 singles, coming out victorious 6-1, 7-6.
