Juan Cardona scored the Purple Eagles first goal in the 35th minute off a penalty kick. Cardona placed the ball on the left side of the net betting the Rider keeper to put Niagara up 1-0.
The Hamburg, Germany native
Niklas Kneller added Niagara's second goal in the 58th minute. Leon Tezuka set up a sliding Kneller who put the ball in the bottom right corner of the net putting the Purple Eagles up 2-0.
Rider added their first goal of the match in the 67th minute of action attempting a comeback but eventually fell short.

Grant Wyles recorded six saves allowing one goal in the match.
