EDISON, NJ – The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) announced Wednesday a total of 3,008 student-athletes have been named to the conference's 2024-25 Academic Honor Roll, including a total of 214 from Niagara.
To be eligible for the MAAC Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or higher on a 4.0 scale. The Academic Honor Roll is open to both full-time and associate members in the MAAC. All 24 conference-sponsored sports are represented.
Women's lacrosse led all NU programs with a total of 28 student-athletes, followed by women's soccer and women's swimming with 25 each.
Sacred Heart named 438 student-athletes to the Academic Honor Roll, breaking Marist's 23 year streak. Marist was second with 375 student-athletes on the list, followed by Mount St Mary's in third with 345 recipients, then Merrimack with 314 honorees, and Iona rounded out the top-five with 305 selections.
