Selena Borek Steps Down as Niagara's Women's Golf Head Coach

Selena Borek, Niagara University's head women's golf coach since 2021, has announced that she is stepping down from the position.

"It was an honor to have a former Purple Eagle leading our women's golf program for the past several years." Associate VP for Athletics Simon Gray said. "Selena was a wonderful student-athlete during her career and brought the same passion and love for Niagara to her role as head coach. I am thrilled that Selena is following her pathway as an educator and wish her all the best as her professional career progresses."

During Borek's tenure at Niagara, the Purple Eagles had numerous all-academic team members, as well as the first Niagara golfer to win MAAC Women's Golfer of the week with Marina Heister in 2022-23. At the 2024-25 MAAC Championships, Niagara finished seventh at the MAAC Women's Golf Championship with a team score of, the program's best three-round score at the conference tournament under Borek. As a student Borek was a member of the women's golf team from 2013-17, where she won the Believe NU Award in 2017.

A search for the Purple Eagles next head women's golf coach is underway.
