DAVIDSON, N.C.— The Niagara women's lacrosse team suffered a lopsided 20-3 defeat to Davidson on Sunday at Field 76, dropping the Purple Eagles to 2-7 on the season.
How it Happened
Avery Olschefskie led Niagara with two goals and an assist, while
Michaela Delles added the team's other goal. The Purple Eagles struggled from the start, falling behind 7-1 after the first quarter and never recovering.
Davidson (5-3) dominated possession throughout the contest, winning 17 draw controls to Niagara's eight and outshooting the Purple Eagles 32-14. Jenna Skibbe powered the Wildcats' attack with seven goals.

Haley Terry made six saves in 49 minutes of action before being relieved by
Abby Penfield.
Niagara managed to convert on all three of their free-position shot attempts, one of the few bright spots on an otherwise challenging day.
