ALBANY, N.Y. — Niagara's bench provided a spark Friday night, combining for 32 points in an 83-54 loss to Siena at MVP Arena in Albany, N.Y.
Niagara put a strong second-half shooting performance, converting 43.8% from the field after halftime compared to 28.6% in the opening period.
Reggie Prudhomme paced Niagara with 10 points on efficient 4-of-8 shooting, including two three-pointers. The guard also contributed two assists while playing 27 minutes.
Landon Williams and
Josiah Sabino each added seven points off the bench. Williams connected on a three-pointer and dished out two assists, while Sabino grabbed four rebounds and made three of four free throws.
Niagara's reserves made their presence felt throughout the contest.
Kabeya Tshibangu posted six points on 3-of-4 shooting with three rebounds in 21 minutes, while
AJ McBride contributed three points in limited action.
Brian Griffith added four points and two assists in 17 minutes.
The Purple Eagles outscored Siena 34-30 in that area.
Justin Hawkins pulled down five rebounds to lead the team's effort on the boards.
