Women’s Basketball Falls to Radford

RADFORD, Va. – Niagara put up multiple team and career highs but eventually fell to Radford 80-58 at the Dedmon Center in Radford, Va.
 
Niagara briefly took a 9-7 lead in the first quarter on a 3-pointer by Haruna, but Radford quickly regained control and never trailed again. The Highlanders built their lead to as many as 25 points in the fourth quarter.
 
Talia Dial led Niagara with 19 points on 6-of-17 shooting, including 3-of-10 from beyond the arc, Dial also grabbed four rebounds.
 
Kenedie Haruna provided a spark off the bench with nine points on perfect 2-of-2 shooting, Haruna was perfect from the charity stripe going 4-4 in nine minutes of action.
 
Caliana Fenceroy in her return to Radford contributed five points in 29 minutes of playing time.

• The Purple and White put up 58 points which is a season high
• Three different Purple Eagles recorded career highs in points Dial (19), Haruna (9) and Katarina Veljovic (6)
