NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, N.Y. — Niagara women's basketball received strong bench contributions in a 70-47 loss to Fordham on Wednesday afternoon at Gallagher Center in Niagara University, N.Y.
Niagara got an impressive performance from reserve
Jisca Bila, who led all Niagara scorers with 14 points on efficient 5-of-6 shooting, including a perfect 2-of-2 from three-point range. Fellow reserve
Jordyn Williams added 13 points.
Niagara's bench proved to be a strength, outscoring the starters 34-17 and providing energy throughout the contest. The Purple Eagles were solid from the free-throw line, converting 70.4% of their attempts (19-of-27).
The Purple and White showed resilience by rallying for 18 fourth-quarter points. Niagara demonstrated its ability to get to the line, attempting 27 free throws compared to Fordham's 22.
Fordham who was led by Alexis Black 18 points.
