KENT, Ohio — Niagara women's basketball struggled falling to Kent State 92-45 at the Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center in Kent Ohio.
Niagara shot just 28.8% from the field and were outrebounded 49-29 in the lopsided defeat. Kent State dominated from the opening tip, building a 31-14 lead after the first quarter and never looking back.
Chasity Wilson led Niagara with 13 points on 5-of-10 shooting in 24 minutes.
Caliana Fenceroy added 12 points, while
Talia Dial contributed 10 points.
The Purple Eagles' offense stalled in the second quarter, managing only nine points on 3-of-15 shooting. Niagara finished the game shooting 21.1% from three-point range (4-of-19) and committed 20 turnovers, which Kent State converted into 28 points.
Jade Campbell provided a spark off the bench with five points and four rebounds in 20 minutes.
Kenedie Haruna added four points and four rebounds in 15 minutes of action.
