Niagara University, N.Y. – After falling behind late in the first half the Purple Eagles attempted a comeback but eventually fell short 1-0 against Iona at Mazzella Field in New Rochelle, N.Y.
The lone goal in the contest came in the 40th minute of action late in the first half. At the end of the first half shots were even at three apiece in hopes of a Niagara comeback.
The Purple Eagles in the second half recorded two shots with one finding the Iona goaltender for the lone shot on goal for Niagara.

• Niagara is now 20-11-3 all time against Iona
• This is the third time this season the Purple Eagles have been shutout
