How it Happened
The Purple Eagles (1-10, 0-3 MAAC) shot 60.0 percent in the opening quarter to build a 12-point advantage before Mount St. Mary's (3-9, 1-2) rallied to make it a two-point game by quarters end.

After leading 22-20 through one quarter, the Purple Eagles saw their shooting cool considerably. They made just 21.2 percent (7-for-33) of their attempts in the second half as Mount St. Mary's gradually pulled away.

A decisive third quarter saw Mount St. Mary's outscore Niagara 17-10 to take control. The Purple Eagles were hampered by 22 turnovers and got outrebounded 50-36.
Mount St. Mary's dominated inside, outscoring Niagara 48-22 in the paint.

Kolliegbo added seven rebounds and four assists in the losing effort, while
Lore Porter and
Talia Dial each added 11 points for Niagara.
