Wallace's OT Winner Lifts Niagara Past Bentley

NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, N.Y. - Tyler Wallace scored 3:55 into overtime to lift Niagara to a 3-2 victory over Bentley in Atlantic Hockey action Friday night at Dwyer Arena.
 
How it Happened
Wallace's game-winner, assisted by Alex Murray and Shane Ott, capped a back-and-forth contest that saw the Purple Eagles (9-8-3, 8-4-2 Atlantic Hockey) erase two one-goal deficits.
 
Oskar Bakkevig opened the scoring for Bentley (11-6-2, 9-3-1) late in the first period. Ott tied it for Niagara midway through the second before Ethan Leyh restored the Falcons' lead at 8:11 of the third.
 
Ross Roloson drew Niagara even again at the 11-minute mark of the third period with his first goal of the season, setting up Wallace's overtime heroics.


 
Pierce Charleson made 27 saves for Niagara, while Connor Hasley stopped 19 shots for Bentley.

• Niagara moves to 16-12-3 all-time against Bentley and 11-9-1 all-time inside Dwyer Arena.
• Friday marked just the second time this season that Niagara won a game after its opponent scored first.
Alex Murray was credited with two assists for the second time this season.
• Ott's goal was his sixth of the year and gave him a team-best 20 points.
• Wallace notched his seventh goal of the season and first game winner.
• Roloson scored his first goal as a Purple Eagle and fifth of his collegiate career.
