Niagara and Rider Play to Scoreless Draw

LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. – Niagara (5-1-1, 1-0-1 MAAC) and Rider (1-4-2, 0-1-1) played to a 0-0 draw on Saturday afternoon in MAAC women's soccer action from Ben Cohen Field in Lawrence Township. The Purple and White are now unbeaten in their last six matches.

How it Happened
The Broncs tested the reigning MAAC Defensive Player of the Week Maddie Crosbie early, putting their first shot on goal in the first minute of the game, however, the senior keeper was there to make the stop, one of her five saves on the afternoon.

Crosbie and Niagara would get some help from the woodwork in the 15th minute to keep the game scoreless.

Sophia Guagliano and Chloe Briggs tested Ellie Sciancalepore in the 22nd and 26th minutes of action, respectively, Niagara's first two shots on target in the contest.

Rider would shell Crosbie in the 30th minute of action as they tried to break the tie before intermission, but Crosbie would stand tall, making a pair of saves on a total of three shots.

It would be over 50 minutes of action before Niagara got its next shot on goal, an Emma Bough try in the 77th minute, but the game would remain scoreless.

Morgan Kulniszewski, who scored her first career goal against Mount St. Mary's, would attempt to be the hero late, but her attempt was corralled by Sciancalepore.

Crosbie made two saves in the final 10-minutes to move Niagara's unbeaten streak to six games.
